Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are still epicenters of pickled foods. For proof, look no further than the Internet.A blogger from Ann Arbor, Mich., who calls her blog Mother's Kitchen (motherskitchen.blogspot.com) blogged a few years ago about her time in the Upper Peninsula as a student at Michigan Tech in Houghton."A favorite Yooper bar snack is pickled eggs - but not those sweet, beet-colored ones you sometimes see in foodie magazines," she wrote. "It's a spicy pickled egg that goes really well with cheap, cold beer."
